How did you get your start in modeling/acting?

I entered a hawaiian tropics contest and won! So from then on I packed up my car with my clothes and shoes and started the drive to la la land.

You have an impressive resume, to date what has been your most memorable project you were involved in?

I loveeeed playing Jeffs girlfriend on Cougar Town, cuz I was in the same scene with Courtney Cox and I've always been such a huge fan of FRIENDS so to work on the same project, in the same room as her was amazing and so exciting!

A woman of many talents, you are also a singer. What were some of your musical influences and what kind of music do you like to sing?

My dad always listened to country and my mom was more the blues and rock... so I love my share of literally everything! Especially counting crows, their first album, i will forever be in love with.

LA has to be the place to be if you are in the entertainment industry and you seem to be making a name for yourself.  What are some of the projects that you have coming up that we should keep our eye out for?

Thats a really good question! I'm actually in the process of working on 2 pilots! Fingers crossed they get picked up! And I'll be moving to Chicago! So I want to take everything that I've learned here and take it there, I know it seems like LA would be the place but i have very strong feelings Chicago will be so good for me:)

Any advice for girls thinking about getting in the industry? What do they need to make it in LA?

To be completely honest, Los Angeles is very pretentious and cutthroat. I love when girls look up to me, and I love helping people as best as i can. When I first moved here my dreams and ideas of LA where MUCH different than they actually are. The industry is EXTREMELY cold, and it can literally suck the life right out of you. I'd say get it, do your job, save your dignity and bounce when you feel accomplished.

You've obviously worked with a variety of photographers. Aside from the equipment used, what sets apart a top pro that you would work with from a rookie photographer that you would avoid?

More so that equipment when choosing and working with photographers, i pick them kinda by how well we'd work together and personality. I won't work with someone who's attitude is very "Im better that you" type. I just dont have patience for that kind of ignorance, but if you're nice and a good person and take some beautiful photos, then I'm in!

What kind of guy best compliments you and your career?

Someone who is very supportive, i know you can get some jealous guys, esp. when modeling swimwear and lingerie, but you gotta be able to understand that its "just a job" and have a lot of trust. I have to say I do have a very good boyfriend, who im very proud of. Very good at supporting, and keeping me going when im having a hard day. Always good to have someone that's got your back :)

What's the main difference between the dating scene in Los Angeles versus back home? Are the pick up lines any better?

hahahahaha! Sorry, back home is so small that youd date people you went to school with, that was all that was around. Here there's a ton of people but personalities and morals are verrrry different. I've gotten some awful pick up lines, of course on the spot I can't think of them... I feel bad but naturally I just give an awkward stare. That's another thing I'm just amazing at my facial expressions, I dont hold a poker face well, so if you say something or do something a little intense, my face says it all.

You know we love us some MMA. Do you have a favorite MMA fighter?

Ben Henderson
