A lot of models dream about going to Hollywood and being a star, Mindy Robinson actually has made the jump from just thinking about it to making her dreams come true. Originally from Massachusetts, this sexy 32DD-24-36 blonde made the move to LA in 2011 and has been getting noticed ever since. With looks and personality like hers, it's easy to see why. Keep an eye out for this one, she's not your typical homegrown down to earth chick and is an expert at telling the best dirty jokes. SCORE! Keep up with her twitter: @IHeartMindy, Facebook, and her ever expanding resume. We're sure you will be seeing alot more of her soon, and we don't mind one bit! Check out more of Mindy after the jump.
Hi Mindy, so we all know you best from your appearances on Take Me Out with George Lopez, but you have an extensive list of credits. Which projects stand out for you as your favorites?
I love doing horror movies and comedies, and I've been lucky enough to have been invloved with some great films like "The Haunting of Whaley House," "Killjoy Goes to Hell," "American Lie," "Chicks Dig Gay Guys" and "Lizzie Borden's Revenge."
Everyone wants to be an actor in Hollywood, you actually made the jump to pursue your dreams. Was this something that came on a whim or something you were planning for a long time?
I ended up on the movie set of Mansion Of Blood doing background...they had a situation and I ended up being offered a role. From there I started auditioning and nailing almost everything, so I made the move to LA in June 2011 and have been working nonstop since.
We see your pics have a wide range, from sexy centerfold to kick ass vampire. What roles do you like playing?
People would think that I'm typecast but I do actually play a good variety of roles. I really, really like my character in "The Haunting of Whaley House" because without ruining the end...I can say that it did break one major rule about horror films.
We're suckers for a girl that can throw a good punch. Ever been in or want to be in an epic fight scene? Do you do any mma/stunt training for your acting?
Yes, I actually have a background in basic ballet and gymnastics but I have also done some Karate and Muay Thai training as an adult (they made fun of me for wearing shin guards but I couldn't walk around with messed up legs, lol). In "Killjoy Goes to Hell" I was brought in by my friend and stunt coordinater Al Burke (we had done LMFAO's "Sorry For Party Rocking" music video together) along with Leroy Patterson, Tai Chan Ngo, Sinn Bodi, and John LeChago to do stunt work in an epic fight scene full of demons and clowns. In it I threw a pretty mean right hook and I got to disembowel someone while I was naked...all in all not a bad day.
Would you consider yourself more of a lover or a fighter?
Hmmmm...I think the bedroom's always more exciting when you mix the two ;)
What kind of guy catches your eye? Someone you can share the spotlight with or someone who can or likes to stay out of it?
I like guys who have natural charisma and I feel like I'm at the point where I have to pretty much date guys that are also in the industry...mostly because it's nice to have someone else that understands the very specific issues and problems that come along with it. Luckily I live in LA, lol.
Alot of people enter the entertainment industry seeking fame. The flip side is once a certain level of fame is achieved, everyone is always scrutinizing your every move. How do you plan on dealing with fame?
I've gotten pretty far in life not giving a shit what people think. Besides, when people who hate you follow you're every move...you're probably doing something right.
We're sure you are no stranger pick up lines. What's the cheesiest pick up line you have heard to date?
A guy thought he would break the ice once by asking me what color my hair was...I was like "It's blonde, duh" and he was like...oh...I didn't know (WTF?!)
Are you much of an MMA fan? Have a favorite fighter?
I love watching it actually. It's brutal but strangely natural in a way. I have a couple of exes that are MMA fighters and I have a full appreciation of the sacrifices made for the sport.
What projects are you involved in right now and what can we look forward to seeing you in the near future?
I've got a bunch of projects lined up this fall. Expect to see me on episodes of Celebridate, Excused, Millionaire Matchmaker, Tattoo Nightmares, Guiness Book of World Records Gone Wild, Operation Repo, and King of the Nerds. I update my fan page everytime something comes out too.
Any parting words for our readers and your fans?
Just be confident in yourself, work hard, work smart, and f*ck what other people have to say :)
